Job Description

As a Recreation Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in promoting a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island. Your primary responsibilities will include encouraging, recruiting, registering, and scheduling guests to participate in various recreation activities.

You will also be responsible for providing information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities, as well as promoting the rules and regulations of the recreation facility to ensure the safety and welfare of guests and members.

In addition, you will observe activity in the recreational facility and respond appropriately in accordance with local operating procedures in the event of an emergency. You will also be aware of possible situations where guests may not be able to safely participate in an activity and inform your supervisor or manager.

Cleanliness and maintenance are essential aspects of this role, as you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining recreational equipment and supplies.

Furthermore, you will report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to your manager and complete safety training and certifications. You will also follow company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, protect company assets, and welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.

Your role requires excellent communication skills, as you will need to answer telephones using appropriate etiquette and develop and maintain positive working relationships with others to reach common goals.

Additionally, you will process payments for rental equipment, recreation activities, facility rentals, or retail sales and comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
