Hood Packaging is currently recruiting for a Clamp Operator for our Wilmington, OH facility who will be responsible for compliance with housekeeping and safety; work in a safe manner; responsible for ensuring packaging meets or exceeds customers’ order specifications and for producing products that meet or exceed customers’ expectations; communicate all pertinent information to his/her relief. Assist in assuring HACCP, GMP’s, Work Instructions, and Food Safety Quality system requirements (SQF) are in compliance.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Responsible for making the distinction between grades of paper and poly.
  • Responsible for receiving inbound paper and film.
  • Responsible for paper requirements and allotment to machines.
  • Assist in monthly inventory.
  • Process data into a computer.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing in one place for an unlimited amount of time.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two (2) years in manufacturing preferred.
Skills
  • Ability to read, write, and understand instructions.
  • Knowledge of multi-wall bags.
  • Must have the ability to complete Hood Packaging’s bag school and/or certification process.
  • Ability to understand manufacturing order.
  • Ability to pass lift truck operation safety course to receive certification.
  • Trained and able to operate lift truck.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs.
