Job Description
About the Position:

Data Engineer - Analysis Service Resources focus on building and maintaining the infrastructure necessary for data collection, storage, and processing. They are responsible in planning, design, and development of organizations Business Intelligence applications, reports, and dashboards.

Provide expertise and support in the reporting system. They work with other teams and users to ensure solutions meet all business needs.

Data Engineer - Analysis Service Resources do not access Federal Tax Information.

Requirements

Basic Requirements (Mandatory Requirements)

The Proposed Candidate must have;

  • At least 5 years of applicable designing and developing analytic cube, reporting, data modeling and data pipeline; and
  • A bachelor's degree or 4 years of additional experience.
Candidates having Formal education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field can be substituted for the following years of experience:

Masters Degree: 1 Year

Proposed Senior Level Resource must have experience in the following:
  • Experience in modeling data for analytic services.
  • Ability to develop tabular models and multidimensional models.
  • Understanding of data analytic services in MS Azure cloud.
  • Ability to analyze to find root cause and troubleshoot Data Warehouse and reporting system issues.
  • Experience writing complex queries to retrieve large data in a database.
  • Develop visual reports and dashboards that have filters, variables, and drill down capabilities.
  • Ability to develop and manage ETL process.
  • Ability to integrate data from on-premises and cloud-based sources.
  • Ability to schedule on-going jobs.
  • Ability to optimize data processing workflows for performance and reliability.
  • Good understanding of security measures, including role-based access control and data encryption.
  • Good understanding of data compliance with industry standards and regulations such as HIPAA.
  • Ability to optimize the performance of data models and queries.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with other teams.
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation for development and operational purposes.
  • Ability to design solutions that are scalable to handle growing data volumes and user demands.
  • Good understanding of process implementing high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Ability to optimize resource usage to ensure cost effective solutions.
Desired/Preferred Skills:
  • Data Warehouse modeling and development.
  • Experience with issue tracking, project management, and agile software development.
  • Machine language.
  • Earned certifications from a recognized certification institution in the pertinent technology or software that reflects and demonstrates a mastery of the subject matter. Such certifications as (but not limited to): Microsoft Solutions Developer, Oracle, Google Sun, etc.
