Mobile Outpatient Therapy Occupational Therapist

Position Summary: We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide outpatient rehabilitation services in a mobile setting for older adults. This role offers a flexible schedule and work environment in various settings, including in-home and independent living facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel
  • Adhere to patient treatment schedule and timely documentation
  • Contribute to patient care and related meetings
  • Make referrals to other disciplines and agencies
  • Consult with the rehabilitation team and community physician
  • Promote a safe environment and order necessary supplies and equipment
  • Screen, examine, and evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and complete related documentation
  • Design, fabricate, fit, and train patients in the use of adaptive devices
  • Perform routine reexamination and modify treatment plans as needed
  • Other related duties as required

Educational/Vocational Requirements: Graduate of an AOTA & ACOTE accredited occupational therapy program, initial registration with NBCOT, and state licensure eligibility required. Valid driver's license or reliable transportation to patients' residences is essential.
