The selected candidate will engage in a challenging and fast-paced environment, enhancing their experience and knowledge in various aspects of engineering, studio and physical modeling. The role involves supporting the Product Design team to enhance their effectiveness in both the conceptual early phases and the technically intensive development phases of projects. Responsibilities include ensuring CAD data integrity for prototyping and manufacturing, designing armatures, preparing CAD models, liaising with suppliers, and participating in cross-functional teams. This position requires a proactive individual with the ability to engage spontaneously in technical discussions and propose engineering solutions. Hard Skills Minimum 5 years experience within engineering and component handling Proficiency in Catia V5, minimum 10,000 hours, with Creo knowledge being beneficial Experience in automotive, truck, bus, vehicle, or heavy equipment industries Proficient in designing components including metals like sheet metal/aluminum, and plastic injection mold Capability to create and review design specifications and requirements Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Soft Skills Excellent communication skills, both verbally and visually Strong teamwork capability, building cooperation among individuals and departments Dependability and reliability with a strong track record of following through on commitments Flexibility with a positive response to changes in direction and priorities Motivated and energized self-starter, able to work independently and collaboratively on various tasks Job Type This is a contract position with a duration of 22 Weekly. Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Greensboro, North Carolina. Work Environment The position is based in the Design Studio within the Technical Center. It is a very physical, hands-on role requiring the ability to be on your feet most of the day, lift approximately 45lbs, and ascend/descend ladders/stairs.
