Summary: The grants coordinator is responsible for seeking out, applying and managing all facets of awarded grants to ensure compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned by the Administration.

Seeks out and writes submissions for grant opportunities for the growth and support of ESCWR.

Builds and maintains relationships with district, community and other partners to find appropriate grant opportunities to support educational opportunities.

Oversight and management of grants to meet deadlines, and compliance reporting requirements.

Responsible for ensuring grants are within budget and compliant with grant rules.

Must ensure compliance with Federal, state and local law and governing board policies.

Stays current with trends in the assigned area of responsibility.

Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Coordinates projects.

Responds promptly to needs; Meets commitments.

Maintains confidentiality; Works with integrity and ethically.

Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings; Writes clearly and informatively.

Understands business implications of decisions; Works within approved budget.

Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines.
Oversee the entire grant application process from start to finish, ensuring all deadlines are met and submissions are accurate and complete.

Collect and organize supporting documents (e.g., financial statements, letters of support, project descriptions)

Monitor grant compliance to ensure all activities, budgets, and timelines are met.

Prepare and submit progress reports to respective team members and administration.

Submit proposals and present successful grant projects/awards at local and state level conferences.

Engage in regular collaboration and communication with finance team to create budgets that align with the grant's objectives and organizational needs.

Collaborate regularly with finance team to monitor grant expenditures to ensure proper use of funds.

Keep detailed records of all grant proposals, submissions, and responses and develop a system of tracking deadlines and reporting requirements for all grant applications and awards.

Actively collaborate with program leads and team members on systems, forms, and tools to collect data related to the project goals to measure effectiveness.

Collaborate with administrative team members, program directors, and curriculum team to ensure accurate project descriptions, application narratives, budgets, and expected outcomes.

Regularly prepare and deliver updates to the organizational leaders on the impact of grant funding sources and alignment to the strategic plan.

Explore opportunities to obtain funding to support the state Department of Education and Workforce's identified priority areas.

Education/Experience & Certification: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent. Must have demonstrated experience with successful grants writing and management. Preferred candidate has experience teaching or administration in PreK-12 public education

Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to write successful grant applications. District ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management.

Math Ability: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully an individual must have knowledge of internet browser use for research, and ability to use virtual meeting tools.

Criminal Records Check: Must comply with Ohio Revised Code 3319.39 - Criminal Records Check.

Drug Testing: Must pass a drug screen at time of hire and comply with the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988.
