Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Grant Coordinator to join our team at the Educational Service Center of the Western Reserve. The successful candidate will be responsible for seeking out, applying for, and managing all facets of awarded grants to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Seek out and write submissions for grant opportunities to support the growth and development of the Educational Service Center of the Western Reserve.
  • Build and maintain relationships with district, community, and other partners to identify appropriate grant opportunities to support educational initiatives.
  • Oversight and management of grants to meet deadlines and compliance reporting requirements.
  • Ensure grants are within budget and compliant with grant rules.
  • Monitor grant compliance to ensure all activities, budgets, and timelines are met.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports to respective team members and administration.
  • Submit proposals and present successful grant projects/awards at local and state level conferences.
  • Collaborate with finance team to create budgets that align with the grant's objectives and organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with administrative team members, program directors, and curriculum team to ensure accurate project descriptions, application narratives, budgets, and expected outcomes.
  • Regularly prepare and deliver updates to organizational leaders on the impact of grant funding sources and alignment to the strategic plan.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience with successful grants writing and management.
  • Preferred candidate has experience teaching or administration in PreK-12 public education.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
  • Ability to write successful grant applications.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
