Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: First Choice is seeking an experienced Oncology Service Line Leader We are seeking a visionary Oncology Service Line Leader to build a transformative, patient-centered oncology program, leveraging both clinical expertise and strategic insight to shape the future of cancer care in our system. Position Summary: As the Oncology Service Line Leader, you will be the driving force behind the establishment and growth of our new cancer service line. In this start-up role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to design, implement, and lead a comprehensive oncology program, spanning outpatient, inpatient, and ancillary services. This position requires an experienced leader with both operational and strategic acumen to build a cohesive, high-quality service line from day one. Key Responsibilities: • Service Line Launch & Development: Lead the creation, planning, and execution of our cancer service line, establishing best practices, setting goals, and building the foundational structures necessary for success. • Strategic Leadership: Partner with key physician and executive leadership to shape a strategic roadmap for oncology, identifying immediate priorities and long-term growth opportunities to establish a market-leading cancer care program. • Operational Setup & Excellence: Oversee the operational build-out of the cancer service line, including staffing, resource allocation, and workflow design, ensuring efficiency and alignment with quality standards. • Multidisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with departments across the health system, including medical group surgery, radiology, pharmacy, and supportive care services, to create a fully integrated approach to oncology care from the outset. Coordination will also be required for already established specialties providing cancer specific care. • Community Engagement: Represent our new cancer program within the community, building partnerships and raising awareness to support our mission and expand our reach. Qualifications: • Start-Up Experience: Proven experience in establishing or significantly expanding a healthcare service line, ideally in oncology, with an understanding of the unique demands and opportunities of a start-up environment. • Strategic and Operational Acumen: Demonstrated success in both strategic planning and hands-on operational management, with a proven ability to build and execute new programs in a healthcare environment. • Collaborative Leadership Style: Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams, inspire staff, and collaborate effectively with physicians, clinicians, and administrative leaders. • Patient-Centered Focus: Commitment to advancing patient-centered care and ensuring a positive patient experience through all stages of the cancer care journey. • Educational Background: Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a clinical field is preferred.
