Description Position Summary: Biomerieux is seeking an experienced and strategic financial leader to join our team as Sr. Director, Accounting. This critical role works under the direction of the Sr. VP and CFO North America is responsible for overseeing and optimizing our transactional accounting procedures, analysis functions, and financial planning with a particular focus on commercial finance and operations finance in a high growth, fast paced environment. This position is responsible for leading the preparation, of the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process for the respective functional areas covered in the job description. This includes reconciliation and documentation of all accounts within scope. This director must exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results and driving process improvements. This position is responsible for managing accounting functions related to treasury, cash forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, foreign exchange, travel and purchase card programs, prepaid expenses, general accruals, fixed assets, COFIS balance sheet reporting and statutory PandL reporting. This position must possess a thorough knowledge of debits and credits and how they are transacted in an ERP system to create financial data with a clear understanding and implementation of setting in place best practices in accordance with GAAP and IFRS. This position may lead, direct, or assist with documenting and writing processes for business system implementations as well as internal documentation and process documents as assigned. Primary Responsibilities: Manage and perform all work in compliance with company policy, internal control manual, company procedures, and within the guidelines of the bioMerieux Diagnostics' Quality System Must demonstrate strong leadership skills with a focus on leading initiatives and developing team members.
