As an IT and Analytics intern, you will gain hands-on experience in supporting out IT infrastructure, assisting with various technical projects and help various departments create analytics workflows and leverage data to optimize business and healthcare operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to end-users regarding software, hardware and network-related issues
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
  • Help troubleshoot IT issues and escalate problems as necessary
  • Perform regular system updates and upgrades under supervision
  • Support IT team members in day-to-day operations and project implementation
  • Document technical procedures and user guides for IT systems and services
  • Participate in IT meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement
  • Lean and adhere to organizational policies and procedures related to IT security and data protection
  • Collaborate with IT staff to resolve issues and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Interface with internal departments to understand the nature of their work, what data they have available to process and how analytics can add value
  • Create pipelines from EMR software to Power BI
  • Create and maintain dashboards that display metrics that provide actional insights
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment by demonstrating a strong work ethic and willingness to assist others
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer science or related field
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, network and IT operations
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office applications
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive and self-motivated with strong desire to learn and grown in the field of IT
  • Proficiency in data tools in the Microsoft suite (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of periods of standing and bending.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
