Position: Electrical Superintendent

Location: Syracuse, New York

Hourly Rate: $45-$48 per hour

Total Earnings Potential: Up to $135k annually, which will include overtime and lump sum bonuses.

Benefits: 100% paid health insurance, vehicle allowance, paid flights, and more

Project Start Date: September 9th, 2024 (flexible by one week). Initially in New York, then further projects in Texas and Nationwide.

About the Role:

As the Electrical Superintendent, you will be the on-site leader responsible for overseeing all electrical aspects of a 5MW+ DC community solar project. This role involves hands-on management of a team of electricians and mechanical personnel, ensuring that all electrical installations are executed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage a team of up to 20 skilled professionals, including electricians and mechanical staff, ensuring they perform their duties efficiently and safely.
  • Electrical Oversight: Supervise all electrical work, including low voltage installations, wiring, panel installation, and system commissioning. Ensure compliance with project specifications, electrical codes, and safety standards.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating closely with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tasks. Manage daily site activities, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to timelines.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of electrical installations, identifying and rectifying any issues that may impact quality or safety. Ensure all work meets company standards and client expectations.
  • Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections. Ensure all team members are trained and adhere to OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and usage of materials, tools, and equipment. Manage inventory and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to the Project Manager, highlighting any potential risks, delays, or issues that need to be addressed. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any changes to the project scope.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the project, including technical challenges, team conflicts, or logistical problems. Make informed decisions to keep the project on track.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site client representatives, ensuring clear communication and addressing any concerns promptly.
