Essential Functions
We are seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist for immediate placement in our Vascular Access Center/Ambulatory Surgical Center, located in Colmar Manor, MD (Washington D.C. area). The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in general diagnostic, and special procedures, and cardiac catheterization; experience in IR and Cath Lab is a plus.
The Surgical Technologist will prepare patients and procedure rooms for vascular access procedures, arrange instruments for interventional procedures, maintain sterile techniques within the sterile filed and clean the procedure room after each case. This is a challenging, fast-paced job with Monday to Friday schedule, NO nights no weekends, and no holiday shifts. Great work/life balance and a highly supportive team environment.

Requirements:

  • Assist clinical team with patient and procedure room preparation and post-procedure clean-up, operating the C-Arm where applicable, scrub-in for procedures, clean and sterilize tools and equipment
  • Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Assist in scheduling patients for vascular access procedures and assist in transporting patients within the center
Education, Experience, Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • 1 year assisting in operating room
  • Associates degree from a college accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP)
