The Medical Clinic Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily clinic preparation, patient check-in, charge posting, cash management, and basic appointment scheduling. The coordinator also provides positive and accurate information to meet patients' needs.
- Coordinate and participate in the clinic preparation process, including patient check-in/out, charge posting, cash management, and appointment scheduling.
- Handle telephone system, take and deliver messages to medical staff, report patient and referral information accurately, and distribute messages following communication standards.
- Serve as a professional role model and manage all incoming patient care requests, referrals, and telephone calls.
- Have proficiency in insurance coverage rules, eligibility, network coverage, and benefits, and capable of initiating and securing prior authorizations as needed.
- Successfully complete mandatory insurance training and maintain competency through refreshers.
