ABOUT THE POSITION

-Internship is in-person: Downtown Grand Rapids, MI

-Anticipated start: Mid Sep./early Oct. part time, 10-20 hours a week.

This Research Analyst Intern will examine by looking into historical, scientific studies and macro/business context. This internship offers a unique opportunity to delve into diverse fields such as historical trends, economics, statistics, philosophy, psychology, and general business best practices. The intern will gain hands-on experience conducting in-depth research, analyzing data, and synthesizing information to support our projects and initiatives. You will review relevant articles, opinions, and case studies. Selected topics will be thoroughly vetted from all angles, with summaries and recommendations on your findings. This internship can potentially influence our investment strategy and talk about making an impact

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Investigate and document significant historical events and their impact on contemporary society and business practices.
  • Conduct thorough research on economic theories, market trends, and financial data to support our strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Utilize statistical tools and methodologies to analyze quantitative data, identify patterns, and generate meaningful insights.
  • Explore philosophical concepts and their application to business ethics, leadership, and organizational behavior.
  • Study psychological theories and practices, particularly those related to consumer behavior, motivation, and organizational psychology.
  • Research and document industry best practices, case studies, and successful business models to inform our organizational strategies.
  • Sheparardize research (you are a research intern candidate; google it).
  • Summarize interviews, research, and relevant information.
  • Manage and respond to project-related emails.
  • Attend project meetings.
  • Prepare articles, reports, and presentations for the executive team.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Superb analytical, writing, and critical thinking acumen.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in research methodologies and data analysis.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit wouldn’t hurt.
