Our location features a collaborative team of administrative staff, mental health professionals, registered nurses, psychiatrists and advanced nurse practitioners. Our Adult Program is in need of a full time day nurse. Our nurses play a vital role in how our team functions. Being the first to evaluate new patients, our nurses have tremendous impact engaging new clients. They have consistent interactions with our clients throughout their eight to ten week treatment stay. Additionally, nursing office is located right on the milieu with our clinical managers and treating providers close by for quick collaboration and teamwork. The schedule for this position is 8am-4:30pm, no weekends and no nights. Generous PTO and the following 8 holidays off: New Years, MLK Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Juneteenth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient’s physical and behavioral health needs on a continuous basis Respond to or assist with medical emergencies As part of the multi-disciplinary team, you will participate in decision-making, teaching, and coordination of care Provide initial and ongoing education to patients and their family Keep up to date with knowledge of medications, specifically psychotropic medications- including side effects, contraindications, therapeutic levels, and required/advisable health maintenance. Administered medications as prescribed by provider.
