Job Summary:

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? Club Stride Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Development Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll plan, implement, and coordinate our youth programs, working closely with community members, schools, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful workshops, events, and activities that help young people grow and succeed.

Responsibilities:

Direct Youth Engagement:

  • Work directly with youth in various programs, activities, and initiatives to support their development and well-being.
  • Develop and manage engaging youth development initiatives, including mental health clubs, fairs, and targeted interventions.
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions addressing academic, college and career, and social-emotional needs.

Program Design and Oversight:

  • Utilize data analytics to measure the impact of programs and implement improvements based on feedback.
  • Provide tier 2 and tier 3 interventions within the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework.

Counseling and Support:

  • Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation using restorative practices to promote a positive environment.
  • Offer consistent, equity-based services and provide comprehensive support and advocacy for diverse student populations, including foster, homeless, ELL, LGBTQ+, and students with disabilities.

Training and Development:

  • Conduct staff training sessions to enhance the ability to support students effectively.
  • Train students and staff on educational technology and learning management systems to optimize the student experience.
  • Lead and mentor interns, providing training and professional development opportunities.

Community and Family Engagement:

  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with families and community members to support institutional priorities and close equity gaps.
  • Build strong relationships with local organizations, schools, and community leaders.
  • Create and implement outreach and retention strategies to engage program participants.

Workshop Facilitation:

  • Develop and lead workshops promoting academic success, personal growth, and student engagement.
  • Facilitate workshops for students, families, and staff, supporting the community and promoting equitable access to services.

Outreach & Recruitment:

  • Create and implement strategies to attract and retain program participants.
  • Build strong relationships with local organizations, schools, and community leaders.

Community Engagement & Events Coordination:

  • Coordinate with school staff and integrate events into school calendars.
  • Organize community events that promote engagement and support for youth programs.
  • Build a sense of community among participants and stakeholders.
  • Identify, maintain, and cultivate strategic partnerships with local organizations to enhance program offerings and resources, including all Solano County cities.

Digital Communications:

  • Utilize digital tools and platforms to enhance program delivery and engagement.
  • Stay current with technological advancements in youth development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, or a related field and/or comparable experience over 4 years.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in youth development or a related field.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
  • A deep commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Minimum 3-5 years demonstrated experience managing nonprofit projects/programs.
