Disability Assessment Nurse Practitioner

Milton, United States MRG Exams Full time

We are seeking a Disability Assessment Nurse Practitioner to perform medical evaluations on US Veterans as a component of the VA's disability benefits process. As a Disability Assessment Nurse Practitioner, you will evaluate medical records digitally and perform a targeted, in-person physical examination on each veteran. Using a web portal, you will have to document the findings of the exam as required by the VA. Please note that this job position does not determine disability; all disability decisions come from the United States Veteran's Administration.

This position is dedicated solely to performing Disability Assessments on Veterans, and you will not provide treatment or prescribe medication. On average, this role performs Disability Assessments for three to five veterans per day. The job position is either full-time or part-time, and it is an IN-PERSON position.

Key Attributes for this position include interest in performing Independent Medical Assessments, ability to slice data from medical records and exam results to complete the questionnaire and form medical opinions, exceptional time management skills to adhere to tight schedules and meet requirements, as well as holding a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner permit and being proficient in computer use.

Requirement for this position includes the possession of a current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and meeting credentialing requirements set forth by VA.

The daily rate for this position exceeds $500, and training and continuous support will be provided. Health insurance alternatives are available, and a computer will be supplied. This specific role is rewarding as it aids and serves the Veteran community, and it allows you to work a schedule with normal business hours and never be on call. All job responsibilities will occur in a clinical setting.
