ARES is currently hiring a Corporate Operations Assistant to help support a variety of corporate functions across our company. This position located in Houston, TX and supports many geographically dispersed offices and functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports HR functions including new hire orientations, completing new hire and termination paperwork, HR data entry and filing, and answering frequently asked questions.
  • Reviews and approves employee expense reports across the company per government contracting guidelines; may help employees create expense reports and answer questions related to travel.
  • Helps arranges employee travel and accommodations as needed.
  • Provides overall administrative support for ARES' Houston office.
  • Assists with corporate timecard functions including reviewing timecards, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and timecard reconciliation.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, and holiday parties.
  • Performs office tasks including answering the phones, ordering supplies, and distributing building notices for multiple offices.

Experience & Skills:

  • At least two years of corporate administrative experience, preferably with a government contractor.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills; excellent attention to detail and ability to track tasks to completion.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Highly resourceful team player with the ability to be independently effective.
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior experience with Deltek Costpoint, Concur, and/or ADP is a plus.
  • 2-year degree desired.
