ROLE

The Epic Beaker CP Analyst/DI will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, and support of the Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology (CP) and Diagnostics Information (DI) modules. This role requires a deep understanding of laboratory workflows, Epic Beaker system capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure seamless integration and operation of the system.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Configure and optimize the Epic Beaker CP and DI modules to meet the specific needs of the laboratory.
  • Lead the implementation of new features and updates within the Epic Beaker system.
  • Ensure system configuration aligns with laboratory workflows and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to understand and document current workflows.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for workflow optimization.
  • Ensure that system workflows are efficient and support the operational needs of the laboratory.
  • Provide ongoing support to laboratory staff for issues related to Epic Beaker CP and DI.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Epic-related laboratory issues.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for laboratory staff on Epic Beaker CP and DI functionalities.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides, training materials, and system configuration details.
  • Ensure all training materials are up-to-date with the latest system updates and best practices.
  • Monitor data integrity within the Epic Beaker system, ensuring accurate and reliable laboratory results.
  • Generate and analyze reports to provide insights into laboratory performance and system usage.
  • Develop custom reports as needed to support laboratory operations and decision-making.
  • Ensure that the Epic Beaker CP and DI modules comply with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA, CLIA, and CAP standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and address any identified issues.
  • Stay current with changes in regulatory requirements and update system configurations accordingly.
  • Lead and participate in projects related to the Epic Beaker system, including upgrades, new implementations, and optimization initiatives.
  • Develop project plans, manage timelines, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Epic Beaker CP module and diagnostic information systems.
  • Epic Beaker CP certification required.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, clinical pathology, and diagnostic processes.
  • Proven experience in system configuration, implementation, and support

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require hourly pay range disclosure: $70 - $85.
