Responsibilities

The Senior DevOps Engineer looks at business requirements, understands the technology domain, and designs and implements systems that effectively and efficiently lead to successful delivery of solutions. A passion and capability to build platforms and frameworks that allow for efficient automation of infrastructure is required. Customers are left touched, moved, and inspired by their transformed business process and workflow. With clear technical requirements, the Senior DevOps Engineer ensures the global development team is equipped to deliver the solution, identifying any gaps, and working with management to develop action plans. The Senior DevOps Engineer ensures proper training of the software development team with regard to technologies and the context for specific projects. The full spectrum of the software development cycle is used to define and scope requirements, architect, and design a solution, prototype, code, test, deploy, monitor, and document.

Meet and collaborate with our development teams in India as needed based on project requirements.

Participate in weekly technical and leadership development learning groups.

80% of time focused on partner project and 20% of time with In Time Tec.

Act as a knowledgeable liaison between technical teams, testing teams, and business stakeholders during the implementation phase.

Leadership and passion for training and coaching a global software engineering team.

Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with clients and global software development partners.

Investigate, analyze, and make recommendations to management regarding technology improvements, upgrades, and modifications.

Participate in scrum meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospectives.

Interact with customers to write user stories and their acceptance criteria. Responsible for creating and prioritizing product backlog items and executing roadmaps with the product owner.

Work with the leadership team to measure team progress and provide input on the direction and team composition to deliver most effectively to evolving client needs.

Understanding client's business challenges and providing solutions using client platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent with 5+ years of work experience.

2-4 years of experience with AWS and/or Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform.

Experience leading software development projects and automating processes, deployments, and infrastructure desired.

Review and Design DevOps Architecture: Both High-Level and Detailed.

Experience in monitoring solutions such as ELK Stack, Splunk, Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus.

Experience delivering using Agile methodologies.

The desire to continually learn and enhance development skills.

Breadth of technical experience with depth in areas such as:

C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, or equivalent languages.

Version control such as Git.

Deep experience in AWS or Azure desired, and experience with both highly desired.

Experience in developing and/or supporting microservices and distributed applications highly desired.
