Position Type: Full-Time
Work Site: Patuxent River, MD
Work Location: Remote (see COVID-19 procedures below)

**COVID-19 Procedures: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Occasional evening/weekend on-site support for upgrades/patching is required. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.


Essential Functions:

The Technical Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing data and reports in support of a large data warehouse effort. Specific duties include:

  • Perform requirements gathering, data collection, data analysis, and data visualizations
  • Develop, refine, and document rules and methodologies for data collection and analysis
  • Support the extraction, storage, manipulation, processing, and analysis of technical data utilizing SQL and/or Informatica
  • Consult with development staff and customers to determine and document data management needs and objectives.
  • Assist with database administration, security, and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with technical experts to ensure data integrity.
  • Assist with production support issues by conducting analysis, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Support configuration management procedures for the storage of data, information, files, and documents.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.


Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

  • Experience conducting data analysis in a technical environment required
  • MS Excel experience required

Desired:

  • Experience with analytical visualization tools such as Qlik and Tableau is highly desired.
  • Experience providing support to NAVAIR IT applications highly desired
  • Experience with Business Objects, Informatica, and TOAD preferred
  • Proficiency with SQL a plus

Security Clearance:
Active Secret clearance is preferred. Interim Secret clearance acceptable to start. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
BS/BA or AA/AS degree OR HS and 2 years related experience.
