Physical Therapist Full-time, Monday-Friday, day shifts. This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus and up to $25,000 in education loan repayment Sakakawea Medical Center's rehabilitation programs focus on restoring function and improving quality of life through care and skillful, personalized applications of therapy services for all ages. Our therapists take pride in helping people. We take the time to get to know our patients, listen to their concerns, answer any questions, and help each patient make informed decisions that are right for them. With advanced hands-on therapy techniques, programs, and equipment, our therapists promote the health, independence, and quality of life of patients. Our therapists provide high-quality, comprehensive care to outpatients and inpatients alike, however, the majority of services are provided on an outpatient basis. Therapists are responsible for providing evaluation, treatment, and home instructions for patients and family members involved in the patient's treatment. Therapy typically includes a combination of manual, hands-on treatment and exercises specifically designed for the patient's injury, illness, or condition. Therapists must have knowledge of writing and dictating patient progress notes. Compliance with patient billing and insurance policies is required. Therapists must complete initial certification and progress notes in a timely manner. Must possess excellent communication skills in order to explain/direct home programs and exercises. Must be able to interact with patients and families in a positive manner. Sakakawea Medical Center is supportive of helping our therapists advance their skills, training, certifications, knowledge, and areas of specialty through training opportunities. Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program and hold a current North Dakota Physical Therapy License. New grads are welcome Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities Performs physical therapy evaluations and treatments using safe and proper techniques. Sets up and instructs patients in rehabilitation programs including designing and progressing home programs. Completes certification and progress notes according to guidelines including assessment, goals, plan of care, frequency, and duration of treatment. Must collaborate with multidisciplinary staff. Establishes and instructs on an in-home program for each patient, revising the Plan of Care as necessary. Accurately and effectively documents patient's evaluations including short and long-term goals, rehabilitation potential, treatment plan and direction, and frequency of treatment. Completes Clinical and Progress Notes according to guidelines, including Evaluation, Care Plan, Exit Instructions, Discharge Summaries, and OASIS forms.
