Join the growing BILH team to make a difference in people's lives as a Certified Surgical Tech II. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing the operating room and providing supplies and instruments to surgeons. You will maintain a clean and safe environment by using sterile and aseptic technique and ensuring surgical equipment is functioning properly. Additionally, you will collaborate with the team to respond to the needs of the surgeon during the intraoperative phase of patient care.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures, ensuring that everything is functioning properly and safely
  • Provide instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures, anticipating and responding to their needs
  • Maintain a sterile environment using sterile and aseptic techniques
  • Monitor the sterile field and handle surgical equipment safely and effectively
  • Recognize and report any issues that could jeopardize patient safety
  • Facilitate efficient turnover time between procedures by cleaning and preparing rooms for the next case

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Certificate 1 Cert Surg Tech (CST) and Certificate 2 Basic Life Support required
  • 1-3 years of related work experience
  • Graduate of an accredited education program for surgical technologists or has completed a training program for surgical technologists in the United States Military or Public Health Service
  • Hold and maintain a certified surgical technologist credential administered by a nationally recognized surgical technologist credentialing body accredited by the National commission of Certifying Agencies and recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologists

Physical Nature of the Job: Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Job is physical in nature and employee needs to stand and/or move around through the majority of their shift.
