Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Emergency Department Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) with weekend and holiday availability Guaranteed Hours: 34.50 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with 2 years of Emergency Services experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (RN) license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Certification Must-Have: EPIC experience preferred; ability to work 3x12 schedule with weekends and holidays required Job Description: - Patient Care: Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship-Centered Care. Use nursing processes based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved nursing standards. Assess and evaluate patient care needs, apply critical thinking skills, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. - Patient Experience: Model Relationship-Centered Care by establishing therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Use evidence-based practices and initiate service recovery when needed, demonstrating caring, respect, compassion, empathy, and active listening.- Quality and Safety: Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care. Engage in process improvement strategies, collaborate on quality improvement projects, and implement principles of high reliability to maintain a safe environment for patients.- Operations: Perform charge nurse duties, coordinate supplies and staffing resources, and document care accurately and thoroughly in compliance with regulatory and legal standards. Facilitate patient throughput on a shift basis.- Professional Development: Support clinical colleagues, participate in advancing clinical competence, and incorporate ethical principles into decision making. Encourage a spirit of scholarship, inquiry, and lifelong learning.- Skills Required: Coaching, cardiac care, teaching, staffing management, process improvement, high reliability, operations, inventory management, documentation, and therapeutic communication.- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; associate degree in nursing considered with relevant experience or active matriculation in a BSN program.Please submit your application with the required qualifications and experience.
