We are seeking a Healthcare Sales Representative/Marketer responsible for generating sales through referrals by building or having already built strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, long-term care, independent and assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centres, nursing homes and other community resources.

Main objective

Serve as a liaison to primary contacts, doctor’s offices, hospitals, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and community organizations. Work with key health personnel within the community to promote home health services.

Responsibilities and Duties

On call lead calls

Conduct on-site meetings and presentations to promote the agency. Leverage relationships to promote the industry and the agency. Negotiate agreements and close sales opportunities.

Education: High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelors in Marketing or Business preferred

Qualifications: Minimum requirements include at least 1-year experience in a healthcare environment in sales would be a plus. A solid reputation and local contacts preferred. General computer experience, such as Microsoft Office, is required. Must be detail oriented, self-managing, and have excellent customer service skills. You must also have a car.

Primary Duties:

Meet with social workers, case managers and other professionals to inform them about our services.

Attend networking meetings to develop business for Assisting Hands; may include participation on Boards, committees, or other community activities to enhance the company’s reputation and name awareness in the community.

May visit clients who are hospitalized or inpatient in other facilities.

Conduct appropriate follow up with referral sources including visits, e-mails or written correspondence.

Exhibit at conferences, expos and vendor fairs.

Identify new and innovative marketing and business development opportunities.

Assist clients and their families with referrals to other needed services, including financial assistance such Medicaid Waiver, LTC Benefits, VA or other resources.

Increase agency visibility online and through electronic communications and be able to demonstrate the increase through the use of system metrics

Search for relevant material and write copy to post on Blogs, Facebook and other mainstream social media platforms

Develop and maintain databases to include potential referral sources, prospective clients and former clients

Assist in the creation of electronic newsletters and bulletins, including identifying relevant topics and finding and/or writing articles relating to the industry in order to draw traffic to the company sites

Set up and send mass e-mails and electronic “e-blasts” to target populations

Candidate must demonstrate Evidence of achieving sales goals within the market and/or demonstrates track record of consistently exceeding goals Strong customer service, sense of urgency and problem-solving skills Time Management and Organizational Skills, Strong interpersonal skills within all levels of an organization, Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, Excellent oral and written communication skill, Ability to work outside of normal business hours (8-5), evenings and weekends as needed.
