  • Lead and manage the nursing staff in the Cardiac Stepdown unit, including recruitment, orientation, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee and ensure the highest standards of patient-centered care, focusing on safe, compassionate, and evidence-based practices.
  • Manage daily operations, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory control, to ensure seamless unit function.
  • Ensure strict adherence to hospital policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements specific to cardiac care.
  • Actively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.
Candidate requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field is preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. At least 5 years of clinical nursing experience in a cardiac setting, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management role. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory. Certification in Cardiac Nursing (CCRN) is preferred, demonstrating advanced knowledge in cardiac care.
