OTC Pumps is looking for an Industrial Pump Mechanic 3 to join our team in Middletown, OH
The Industrial Pump Mechanic will work on and rebuild rotating equipment. Additional duties will include, but are not limited to: pipe fitting, manual machine work, material handling, measurements, vibration analysis, electrical work, laser alignment, installation, and system analysis.
What You'll Do:
- Remove and install new rotating equipment.
- Perform maintenance/repair activities on rotating equipment, including equipment alignments.
- Troubleshoot equipment and diagnose possible reason(s) for failure.
- Provide information on parts and additional work required.
- Operate and maintain a service truck, including maintenance, repairs, tooling, and maintaining material inventory.
- Travel to customer sites and stay overnight as needed.
- Communicate with customers.
- Document each assignment, including pictures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school education required; Associate degree/certification in mechanics preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in the maintenance/repair of rotating equipment (i.e. pumps, motors, gearboxes).
- Ability to use precision equipment (dial indicators, mics, calipers).
- Ability to read and understand dimensional drawing, exploded view drawings, and cut section drawings.
- Ability to travel to customers' sites and stay overnight as needed; attend training trips in other shops as needed.
- Capable of working independently with little or no supervision.
- General knowledge of PC and ability to use Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook).
- Ability to work on electrical components preferred.
- Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Systems and Programs preferred.
