Orthopedic Care Coordinator RN needed at a nationally accredited nursing facility

A prestigious establishment is hiring for an Orthopedic Care Coordinator Registered Nurse. The successful candidate will be responsible for the organization, development, and coordination of the Orthopedic Specialty area. You will work at an ambulatory specialty practice where you'll provide care for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

The Orthopedic Coordinator Nurse will have regular duties such as:

  • Performing triage for patients as necessary in the daily walk-in clinic
  • Coordinating all activities related to patient care
  • Serving as a liaison between patients/families and different healthcare team members
  • Counseling and teaching families about medical conditions, diagnostic procedures, medication controls, and other interventions
  • Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team about the candidacy of potential patients
  • Educating hospital employees about specialty surgeries. Additionally, the Orthopedic Coordinator Nurse will participate in educational opportunities and workshops that are related to the area specialty.

Requirements for the position include:

  • A nationally accredited nursing graduate program
  • An RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days
  • 3 years directly related experience

This is a full time, day shift position that includes a sign-on bonus, relocation reimbursement, and weekday/weekend shift differentials. The physical conditions required are in excess of those for Light Work. Hazardous materials have to be handled with PPE.
