Assign work orders to Diesel Technicians via asset management program 4. Drive or walk facility at the beginning, throughout, and at the end of your shift. 5. Perform basic and preventative maintenance as required on Company Trucks and Trailers, including but not limited to the following: a. Routine mechanical repairs b. Tire & oil changes c. Wheel polishing d. Washing trucks and trailers e. Minor electrical or body repairs f. Customizations upon approval 6. Perform preventative maintenance as required of Company assets including but not limited to forklifts, skid steers, yard dog, passenger vehicles, and facilities. 7. Proactively acquire necessary knowledge and certifications related to current fleet assets 8. Ensure a clean and tidy work environment in bays, inventory closets, and workspace to prevent incidents and injuries. 9. Perform end of shift Shop cleanup. 10. Inventory and adjust stock as appropriate. 11. Assist Diesel Technicians with repairs as directed 12. Attend daily pre-shift and post-shift meetings 13. Actively participate in all weekly shop meetings 14. Follow all Company policies and procedures 15. All other duties as assigned Please note that this job description may not cover all aspects of the position, and additional duties may be assigned as management requires. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to obtain DOT certification within 1 year of employment Basic analytical skills for data interpretation and decision-making. Basic verbal and written communication skills. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Basic ability with asset management programs. Strong attention to detail. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong Ability to adapt and learn in a fast-paced environment.
