Inpatient Psych Registered Nurse

An Inpatient Psych Registered Nurse is needed to provide professional nursing care for a mental health/psychiatric environment. This full-time position requires a nationally accredited nursing graduate with at least one year of related experience. The successful candidate will design nursing care plans, coordinate patient drug and procedure activities, administer medication and treatment, and educate patients and families on treatment regimens and compliance with treatment plans. This position coordinates with a multitude of healthcare providers and should demonstrate a proactive approach to patient safety and care. The job requires heavy lifting and may include exposure to combative patients, chemicals, and biohazardous materials. The position is eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation reimbursement and includes compensation based on nursing education and national certifications that offer increasing compensation.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Program Graduate
- Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
Experience:
- At least one year of directly related experience
Credentials:
- RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days
Physical Conditions:
- Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people.
Working Conditions:
- Physical risk/injuries due to combative patients
- Chemicals, Bio Hazardous Materials req PPE
