Multi-Modality Radiology Tech at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth:

  • Performs quality diagnostic procedures accurately and in a timely manner for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth and Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth Outpatient Center. Exams.
  • Operates MRI, CT, X-ray equipment, prepares patient’s room, equipment, supplies and medications.
  • Provides patient services using imaging modalities.
  • Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams preformed.
  • Exams include diagnostic exams in MRI/CT and portable exams as needed.

Required Skills

Licensure/Certification ****

· Current & Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) Certificate

Required Experience

Specific Job Experience

  • Two to five years’ experience specific to surgical/diagnostic radiological exam

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Radiology Technologist operates X-ray equipment, prepares patient’s room, equipment, supplies and medications
  • Provides patient services using imaging modalities.
  • Practices proper MRI safety techniques on all exams preformed.
  • Performs all Quality control checks, as prescribed.
  • Maintains accurate QC logs, service records, etc.
  • Performs highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed examination: documents and deviation
  • Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures
  • Investigates promptly and follows up on unusual incidents and communicates with Director
  • Takes emergency call as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Demonstrates responsibility for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients

· Demonstrates ability to assess data, prioritize care, and plan interventions dependent on the age group of the population served.

· Demonstrates ability to discuss treatment/service and to provide education information to patients/families in age group served

· Ability to utilize Electronic Healthcare Record for patient documentation.

Qualifications:
Education ****

· High School diploma or equivalent
