Community Liaison and Business Development Specialist

The Community Liaison and Business Development Specialist will play a crucial role in creating and nurturing relationships within the community, as well as establishing corporate partnerships to enhance our resort's presence and reputation. This dynamic individual will also be responsible for developing revenue-generating leads for the sales department and generating trackable revenue to support our financial goals. To further engage the community and attract potential members, the specialist will create engaging on-property events and assist with event set-up, ensuring smooth execution with the sales team. A key aspect of the role will be to increase membership enrollment through effective outreach and communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the greater Murrieta, Temecula, Lake Elsinore, Winchester, and Wildomar areas.
  • Generate revenue-generating leads for the sales department through networking, research, and strategic outreach.
  • Schedule one-on-one meetings with key stakeholders, including larger businesses and community influencers, to build relationships and identify potential partnership opportunities.
  • Attend local business networking events and join professional organizations to expand the resort's network and increase brand awareness.
Community Engagement and Sponsorships:
  • Build and maintain relationships with key community stakeholders, including local businesses, community organizations, and influencers.
  • Attend and sponsor local community events such as wellness fairs, farmers markets, and festivals to increase brand visibility and engage with potential guests.
  • Represent the company at community events, meetings, and other public engagements to promote our brand and services.
  • Sponsor local sports teams and non-profit events that align with the brand to demonstrate the resort's commitment to community involvement and generate positive word-of-mouth.
Event Planning and Execution:
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute on-property events with a set budget, aimed at increasing community engagement and promoting our services.
  • Host wellness talks and workshops featuring local experts to showcase the benefits of geothermal waters and wellness practices.
  • Leverage the Community Liaison role to activate the event lawn consistently and host tours of the resort.
Membership Enrollment:
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase membership enrollment.
  • Track and report on membership growth and retention rates.
  • Collaborate with local corporate employers to offer employee wellness programs, team-building retreats, and corporate discounts.
Revenue Generation:
  • Be accountable for generating trackable revenue through various business development activities.
  • Set and achieve revenue targets in collaboration with the sales department.
  • Establish and nurture corporate partnerships that align with our business goals.
Strategic Partnerships:
  • Collaborate with local businesses, restaurants, and employment centers to create cross-referral programs.
  • Establish partnerships with experiential businesses for word-of-mouth referrals, package offers, and increased brand awareness.
Performance Indicators:
  • Lead Generation: Number of revenue-generating leads created for the sales department.
  • Event Management: Successful planning and execution of on-property events within budget.
  • Membership Growth: Increase in membership enrollment and retention rates.
  • Revenue Tracking: Amount of trackable revenue generated.
  • Corporate Partnerships: Number and quality of corporate partnerships established.
  • Community Event Attendance: Attendance rates at sponsored and organized community events.
  • Partnership Agreements: Number of partnership agreements secured.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in community liaison, business development, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of the local community and business landscape in the greater Murrieta, Temecula, Lake Elsinore, Winchester, Wildomar areas.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
