  • Regular and Consistent Attendance
  • Collaborate with business units to gather technical requirements and deliver tailored BI solutions.
  • Design and develop actionable dashboards, scorecards, reports and data visualizations using Power BI, Excel, Python, and other BI platforms.
  • Conduct routine and ad hoc analysis to support strategic business decisions.
  • Build, refine, and optimize datasets in Power BI, incorporating complex DAX calculations and KPIs.
  • Ensure consistency in business logic and KPI definitions across all BI solutions.
  • Maintain metadata and custom mappings used in reporting and analysis.
  • Evaluate existing BI solutions, looking for opportunities to improve them.
  • Maintain comprehensive data dictionaries, documentation, and source control for all BI processes and solutions.
  • Work closely with the Data Operations team to develop and document data warehouse collections and datasets needed for BI solutions.
  • Analyze and understand source system data for validity and completeness, troubleshooting basic data integrity issues and documenting findings.
  • Implement robust data monitoring practices to maintain high data quality, proactively addressing and resolving any data discrepancies.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science or another analytically focused field (Master’s degree is a strong plus).
  • 3-5 years of experience as a BI analyst or similar analytical role, with a proven track record of supporting strategic business decisions through data analysis and BI solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, with expertise in writing complex and optimized T-SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Expertise in Power BI for building impactful dashboards, reports, and visualizations, with proficiency in writing complex DAX calculations.
  • Extensive experience with Excel for data modeling and analysis, including advanced functions such as Power Query, DAX, XLOOKUP, cube functions, etc.
  • Proficiency in using Python for data analysis and enhanced visualization. Experience with web scraping or dashboarding capabilities a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of dimensional data modeling (star schema).
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, ensuring consistent business logic & KPI definitions across BI solutions.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities to enhance BI solutions, applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Must have good reading, writing and speaking skills to effectively communicate with fellow co-workers and management of other business units.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to develop and interpret charts.

Reasoning Ability:

Excellent reasoning and analytical skills are necessary to obtain information needed. Ability to analyze the big picture as well as the individual parts is critical.

Computer Skills:

Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, database software

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
