Opportunity: Part-time opportunity for an experienced medical lab assistant with a growing medical practice in the CSRA.

Who We Are: For the past 40 years, Augusta ENT PC has been providing a full spectrum of specialty care for people of all ages across the CSRA and Statesboro. With 5 offices, 19 physicians, and a variety of services Augusta ENT PC strives to help everyone feel their very best.

Duties (summary): The FNA Clinic Assistant assists the pathologist in all matters related to USFNA (Ultra Sound Fine Needle Aspiration) patient care, to include: performing the USFNA procedure, cytology slide preparation, slide labelling, slide storage and retrieval, cell block material preparation, slide send outs, outside consults and report tracking, storage and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials, maintenance of FNA supply inventory, QA/QC and CLIA certification records.

Our Ideal Candidate: A self-motivated, punctual individual with experience in Anatomic Pathology who is comfortable interacting with patients. This individual must be familiar with staining protocols, slide filing and retrieval, specimen send outs and record keeping, pathology consultations, and be familiar with the concepts of Quality Assurance and Quality Control.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience with Anatomic Pathology

• Punctual and able to meet deadlines

• Proficient in Excel or similar program

• Prior experience using medical office or laboratory software

• Ability to learn the Loqiq P-9 Ultrasound machine

• Must pass a background check and drug screen

Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:30am- 2:00pm/ approximately 15 hours per week
