Job Summary:

The Receiving LTO/Utility is responsible for physical movement of racks, cages, baskets and pallets of material while operating a lift truck or pallet jack. This role involves placing racks in place for unloading containers and placing full racks in sorting area. The Receiving LTO/Utility will also be responsible for ensuring that every movement of slipped racks are scanned to correct location.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsible of placing empty racks for Unload/Load of containers.

2. Responsible for placing full racks in sorting area together for sorting of material.

3. Responsible for scanning material in slip to correct areas.

4. Collaborate with the Receiving Lead to plan and prioritize unloading activities based on container dates, schedules and customer demands.

5. Conduct quality checks on packed products to ensure they meet the required standards.

6. Identify and resolve any receiving issues or bottlenecks that may impact unloading or product slipping.

7. Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to safety guidelines and regulations.

8. Responsible for correctly using RF gun.

9. Collaborate with other departments, such as Shipping, Inventory, Quality, and Domestics to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as an LTO or warehouse role.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Receiving procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Ability to operate Lift truck, pallet jack, other machinery and equipment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and reporting.
  • Basic math skills
Abilities to Perform Duties consist of:
  • Walking- Flat or uneven surfaces from point to point
  • Standing- work performed on feet
  • Sitting- while preforming job duties
  • Stooping- Picking up cartons and rugs at floor level
  • Reaching- Max height 6’
  • Lifting- Up to 75lbs
  • Pushing/Pulling-Move with pallet jack, lift truck from place to place
  • Carrying- Max 50lbs up to 50’
  • Vision- Read labels, recognize box sizes
  • Hearing- Safety Signals
Job Benefits:
  • 40 hours per week: Overtime is required for this position from time to time as authorized by Receiving Supervisor
  • This is a full-time position
  • Hourly “Non-exempt” position

Reporting Structure:

The Receiving LTO / Utility will report to the Receiving Lead/Supervisor
