Responsibilities

Who are you?

The Benefit Systems Coordinator is tasked with the initial setup of groups and is responsible for all subsequent group setup-related maintenance tasks. This role requires close collaboration with and support for other departments. Additionally, the Benefit Systems Coordinators are responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and manipulating data to ensure that it is easily interpretable by both internal and external teams.

In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:
  • Create and approve FI group setup sheets.
  • Set up new groups in GIAS and audit their eligibility.
  • Set up test members and notify the team.
  • Configure ODR tables as needed.
  • Audit products pre-eligibility based on rate cards.
  • Create COBRA group checklists as applicable.
  • Process new group setups for Gap groups.
  • Collaborate with other departments for necessary information.
  • Maintain GIAS updates (address, contact, group name).
  • Update the Gap renewal sheet and process monthly renewals.
  • Set up and modify accounts.
  • Update the Rate Table for pass-through costs and add new products.
  • Manage plan and PBM changes.
  • Process group and account terminations.
  • Review and update monthly renewal rate cards.
  • Delete PID requests and add vendor accounts.
  • Administer terminations for members in expired benefit plans.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience in system/data analysis and process improvement.
  • 1+ years of experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex data/eligibility issues.
  • Meticulous approach to tasks for accuracy and precision.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Quick learner with new software.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and regulations in healthcare.

In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $35,000 to $44,000. Note that compensation may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for health, dental, vision, mental health and other benefits.
