ABOUT THE ROLE

At IVX Health, our Nurse Practitioners play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional, personalized care experiences for our patients. With their specialized expertise in infusion therapy and comprehensive understanding of our care model, they are integral to our approach to healthcare delivery. Beyond their clinical responsibilities, our NPs provide invaluable support and guidance to our clinical team, patients, and referring providers. They bring a personal touch to every interaction, fostering a sense of trust and confidence in our patients' treatment journeys

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide onsite supervision for all patients
  • Assess and document patient health status, including intake and SOAP note documentation
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest level of quality patient care
  • Prepare and administer infusions or injections following prescribed protocols
  • Administer medications and treatments, with proficiency in dosage calculations (e.g., mg/kg)
  • Prepare and administer infusions or injections in accordance with prescribed protocols and organization guidelines
  • Ensure patient care is documented in the Electronic Health Record
  • Maintain a clean and disinfected environment after each patient use
  • Assist in maintaining medical inventory and supplies
  • Provide patient and family education on disease processes and treatment side effects
  • Support audits, regulatory functions, and annual staff review processes
  • Reviews and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of charge capture for all patient encounters while on shift
  • Communicate openly with referring/prescribing providers regarding patient care
  • Collaborate closely with referring providers for prior authorizations and sharing clinical notes
  • Occasionally support related services such as pre-registration and prior authorization
  • Works at multiple facilities within a designated market or region as needed

Qualifications

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
  • Excellent IV skills (Infusion Therapy experience a plus)
  • Strong mathematical skills for medication dosage calculations

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE
  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license
  • Board certified by AANP or ANCC
  • Successful completion of Master's Degree or Doctorate in Nursing program
  • BLS Provider certification, credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • PALS Provider certification, strongly preferred, credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Experience in an infusion setting preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required


WAGE RANGE

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and is benchmarked against similar organizations to our size and industry. For our Nurse Practitioner role, we generally pay new hires between $59.00 and $69.00 per hour in the CT market. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for roles and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. In addition to cash pay, full-time regular employees are eligible for 401(k), health benefits, and other company benefits; some of these benefits may also be available for part-time positions.
