The Infection Control Manager at this hospital will play a crucial role in keeping the patients and employees safe. Reporting to the Administrative Director of Quality and Risk Management, you will lead and coordinate a program that is integral to patient and employee safety. This Manager will wear many hats throughout this acute care, inpatient environment, including investigator, educator, advocate, and mentor.
The CIC Infection Program Manager will serve as a thought leader for the hospital, educating practitioners and support staff on the various causes and control processes for infection risk. To successfully fulfil this role, the Infection Prevention Manager will need to be equal parts communicator and influencer. Integrating the philosophies of infection prevention will require a deep understanding of the processes and components of the hospital, engaging hospital leadership in the process, and effective reporting of progress.
Working closely with this medical center's inpatient laboratory, the Manager of Inpatient Infection Control will collaborate with RN Nursing Unit Leaders, the Quality Improvement Team, Physicians, and the Infection Prevention and Control Committee to develop and implement hospital-wide measures that prevent the transmission of infectious diseases. Experience in complex and matrixed working healthcare environments, as well as Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) will surely earn you a fast interview.
