JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description Mead & Hunt is looking for a Food and Beverage Packaging Engineering Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating work with principal design engineering in R&D/product development with our clients, leveraging OEMs to help identify new technologies and/or old technologies that can be applied to new application. Experience optimizing packaging operations in order to drive lower capital costs, simpler processes, and more effective/efficient process performance. Manage Equipment Suppliers and the Procurement process of F&B packaging systems. Creating specifications, performance guarantees, packaging design scopes and perform mass flow balance of a manufacturing line. Developing new or modifying packaging lines for food and beverage manufacturing. Support manufacturing line start up and troubleshooting to achieve designed required performance Experience Required: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in R&D, Engineering or Operations (food plant experience). Significant capital project management or plant engineering experience. Program development and leadership experience. Experience working on Design Build/EPC project delivery projects preferred. Experience with primary and secondary packaging equipment systems. Experience integrating multiple different packaging systems together into a single highly efficient operating line. Packaging material identifications and format development is desirable but not required. Skills Required/Preferred: Leadership skills to manage cross-functional and cross BU teams to consensus. Strong project management skills. Strong ability to lead and drive change through relationship management, interpersonal savvy, and business savvy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure. Ability to work independently and to interface with all levels of the organization. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills. Education and Training: BS in Engineering or Science or 10 years relative industry experience. Ability to travel 50%.
