Control Systems Engineer - Incineration (HTT)

The Control Systems Engineer will manage, coordinate, and develop all aspects of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems and Distributive Control Systems to ensure the facility is operating in a manner safe to human health and the environment .

Essential Functions & Requirements:

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.

  • Maintain process related systems

  • Modify software and hardware to improve process capabilities

  • Maintain communication between DCS/PLC/TCPIP bases systems

  • Perform data analysis to better understand process capabilities

  • Train operations and maintenance personnel on computer systems

  • Setting up, installing, and maintaining PCs and software.

  • On-call during off-work hours

  • Coordinates project activities with government regulatory agencies

  • Other duties as assigned

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent. (required)

Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years' experience with PC operating systems, PLC, DCS, and/or SCADA programming applications. (required)

  • Three (3) years' experience in Visual Basic, Database programming, PC/Server networking, instrumentation, and industrial control system design. (preferred)

  • Experience with ABB Bailey Infi 90, Allen Bradley PLC, RCRA, and MACT regulations. (preferred)

  • TCP / IP networking and NT experience. (preferred)

Competencies:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines with shifting priorities.

  • Excellent problem resolution, judgement, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to both lead and work within a team environment.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of time to assist at other Heritage locations.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, background check, and drug screen.

  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job .
