Big-D Heavy Industrial is looking for a Controller to join our team of professionals based in Tempe, AZ.
The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the business unit's daily accounting operations, including the accounting, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivables. The controller will help guide the strategic financial decisions and keep the financial health of the Heavy Industrial division strong.
Experience/Training:
- Minimum of 5 years of Controller experience
- Accounting degree preferred.
- CPA preferred but not required
- Procore experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Oversee the financial operations of the Heavy Industrial division, including budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and financial analysis
- Manage the month-end and year-end processes
- Monitor cash flow and optimize working capital
- Manage the financial structure of the division
- Oversee budget expenses
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Manage job costing reports and budgeting
- Notarize pay apps and other company forms
- Complete Bid Bond & Bond forms
- Keep up with company vehicle tracking online
- Build company binder with all forms
- Invoice verification from suppliers and customers
- Manage aged receivables for accounts and send accounts receivables reports weekly to leadership team
