Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, overseeing operations within the Pediatric Cardiac ICU during designated shifts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating admissions and discharges for optimal patient flow and care quality.
  • Participating in continuous quality assessment of patient care services.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance team performance and patient outcomes.
  • Supporting a culture of teamwork and a patient-first philosophy.
  • Managing staffing needs and labor resources efficiently.

Qualifications Required:

  • Valid Texas Registered Nurse license or compact state license.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac ICU or Critical Care nursing.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support within the first 30 days of employment.
  • PALS certification and Neonate Resuscitation certification within the first 90 days of employment.
