Johnston, United States Chubb Full time
JOB DESCRIPTION

Our History

We began as the Rain and Hail Insurance Bureau back in 1919 as a leader in developing sound insurance programs. In addition to forming one of the nation's first risk management pools in 1919, they were largely responsible for establishing equitable adjusting and rating procedures. This is the groundwork of strength that led to the firm's 1981 reorganization as an employee-owned managing general agency. In 2010, Rain and Hail was acquired by Chubb, solidifying our financial strength.

Our Passion

We are a company firmly rooted in agriculture for over a century. We protect farmers and ranchers now as well as the future of the industry. Farming and ranching can be risky business, which is why we strive to provide the best risk management options to keep farms and ranches running for generations to come.

Our Localized Service and Support

We focus on localized knowledge and service, with 10 division offices strategically placed throughout the U.S. and one in Canada. We have dedicated local marketing representatives and underwriting experts that specialize in the crops in your area. Rain and Hail has over 1,000 adjusters on the ground at any given time ready to serve our policyholders, so no matter where you are, we are always close by.

Our Technology

At Rain and Hail, we are never satisfied with the status quo. We are constantly enhancing our systems to ensure maximum efficiency while maintaining accuracy, ensuring we simplify the complicated world of crop insurance. We listen to our agents, policyholders, adjusters and business partners to directly implement new technology suggested from our network. We will continue to be progressive and be your industry leader for generations to come.

Overview:

Our summer internship program offers the chance to have practical, real-world experience at one of the largest, most respected crop insurance companies in the industry. As a part of the program, you will have the opportunity to work on business specific projects where you will gain knowledge and experience to supplement and strengthen your academic skills. This program encompasses a 360-degree tour of our lines of business, including hands-on projects in a variety of disciplines, interactive classroom instruction, team assignments and direct interaction with our senior executives. You will learn the field claims side of the business as well as the marketing side.

We are seeking a self-motivated, energetic, and result-oriented intern to join our team from June to early August of 2025. In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our claims and marketing side of the business where you will have classroom as well as field experience.
