This is a direct hire, hybrid role out of the Firm's Orange, California offices. The firm promotes a super friendly, collaborative work culture and believes in a work/life balance for its people. This position is open because they are busy and adding to the team

The successful Litigation Attorney will have:

  • 5+ years of experience handling a case from start to finish through consultation, pre-litigation, mediation, litigation/arbitration in commercial and residential real estate matters (partition actions, leasing and purchase transactions, title clearance, escrow issues and disputes).
  • Experience in intra-family disputes over real property, family businesses, personal property; outside general counsel for micro and small businesses, excluding employment/HR/ADA issues, excluding securities law issues
  • A growth mindset. People tend to stay at this firm long-term, and the ideal candidate will be someone who wants to grow with the department.
  • A client-focused approach. This firm is extremely caring of its clients, and the Attorney will have strong client contact.
  • Ability to work autonomously while also being a collaborative member of a team
  • An active California bar license, in good standing.
  • Experience with MyCase a plus
  • All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time.
  • Infrequent lifting and carrying of up to 30 pounds.

The Firm's contested cases typically involve the above-listed issues, and the successful candidate will be fluent in the negotiation, mediation and/or litigation/arbitration of these issues, and have general knowledge of how residential and commercial properties are constructed.

Salary is commensurate with experience, ranging from $150-170k. The firm also offers discretionary bonuses. Medical benefits are covered by the firm 100% for employee and family. 401k with match. Wellness monthly stipend.
