What We’re Looking For

Provide confidential administrative and specialist support to the Claims Department.

Job duties include:

  1. Provides administrative assistance with projects or assignments when needed.
  1. Provides administrative, clerical, or custodial oversight or action to resolve day-to-day issues.
  1. Ensure all Claim Department Standard Operating Procedures are current.
  1. Performs general clerical work. Schedules and makes arrangements for events.
  1. Tracks departmental training and may keep minutes of meetings.
  1. Prepares AFPP’s for staff requisitions, department manuals, subscriptions, etc.


Claims Support Specialist assists Claims Director and/or Claims Managers with all Claims activities including, but not limited to, assisting with preparation of departmental trainings, writing and sending various claims correspondences, and tracking various claims related deadlines. Provides reports to Claims Director and Management Staff as requested. Assist with maintaining various claims related files.

Support Duties 70%
  1. Assists with developing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual program reports and ensures reports are submitted within assigned deadlines.

High School diploma or GED with Minimum One (1) year clerical experience or equivalent of higher education or higher education/experience.

Preferred Experience: (if applicable)

Prefer experience in assisting a senior executive and four years clerical and office management experience

License/Certification

Must have a valid driver’s license

Must reside in North Carolina to be considered for remote status
