Position Summary:

This position is responsible for generating and developing new business opportunities and maintaining existing business relationships. They will market and sell Mrs. Fields products to businesses, partner retailers and consumers with large-volume requirements. They will provide top quality customer service and uphold Mrs. Fields high quality brand standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, business directories, internet searches and other sources
  • Makes outbound engagements to potential and existing customers by telephone, as well as direct mail and email to qualify leads
  • Handles inbound rotated sales calls to convert calls into sales
  • Provides product samples to qualified customers upon request
  • Emphasizes features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders
  • Stays current with product assortment and is knowledgeable on discounts and promotions running across all B2B and B2C channels
  • Works with large partner retailers; maintains forecasts and presents new seasonal product collections
  • Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into the computer database
  • Maintains and prepares reports of business transactions
  • Manages assigned and developed book of business in CRM
  • Works with inside sales/customer service staff on orders, artwork, customer service issues, etc.
  • Manages, executes, and performs sales budgets

Qualifications

Core Competencies:
  • Can provide a book of business to immediately call upon to generate new accounts
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to calculate business math such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, margin, and volume
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs of customers and always maintain composure
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to attend trade shows and/or meet with clients or perspective clients
  • Ability to earn trust and build relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to work long hours during peak sales season (Thanksgiving/Christmas Holidays)
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in sales role; food gifting experience is preferred
  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 2 years related training
  • Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Experience working under Private Equity ownership group preferred but not required
  • Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.


Job Environment and Conditions:

Working conditions are generally indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Some travel may be requested.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for at least 75% of the time or more. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
