Job Description

The selected individual will join us at a time of tremendous opportunity at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist resulting from our partnership with Atrium Health, which is investing $3.4 billion in our health system and medical school over the next ten years including the development of a full second medical school campus in Charlotte, North Carolina.

JOB SCHEDULE

Full time - Days, Nights/Weekends

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Excellence in the entire spectrum of General Thoracic Surgery, including benign and malignant lung, esophageal, mediastinal and chest wall surgery

• Proficient in minimally invasive thoracic surgery (VATS and Robotic)

• Share call with thoracic attending group

• Teach cardiothoracic surgery residents, general surgery residents and medical students

REQUIREMENTS
  • MD/DO
  • BC/BE in Thoracic Surgery
  • Ability to obtain a NC medical license
  • Commitment to excellence with the highest level of integrity and a reputation for compassion, fairness and objectivity
  • Must have exceptional communication skills and dedication to teamwork
