Description

Housing Partnerships, a division of Thrive Alliance, is a team dedicated to serving the housing needs of seniors, low-income and disabled individuals and families in Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson and Jennings Counties in Indiana. By providing a variety of housing options, from apartment complexes to duplexes and single family homes, we strive to provide safe and affordable homes.

The Residential Maintenance Crew Member will work with a small maintenance department and a group of dedicated volunteers to maintain the homes. Skills necessary include a wide variety of knowledge needed to rehab homes and repair items like plumbing, roofing, drywall, and general construction. We are looking for a dedicated individual that can work as part of a team or independently and approach each day with enthusiasm. Must have the ability to handle changing priorities and deadlines and make necessary adjustments as maintenance requests are received. Good time management and organizational skills necessary.

We will train those with basic maintenance knowledge and the willingness to learn if effort is applied and maintained by the individual.

The ability to relate to individuals with special needs, seniors and a wide variety of personalities is a requirement.

The crew members take turns carrying the on-call phone so it's never too much burden on anyone.

Position Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Construction and maintenance experience necessary. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects associated with construction and home modifications such as appliances and lumber required as is the ability to work in various environments and temperatures.

Individuals in this position must have a valid driver's license and adequate auto insurance.

Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
