Job Title: Procurement Agent Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Agent to join our team, which specializes in the development and delivery of highly engineered electromechanical systems to support military missions worldwide. Our team is composed of experienced, diverse, and motivated individuals who are committed to innovation and quality. Responsibilities Research and compare suppliers, goods, and services. Select the most suitable suppliers based on reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency. Monitor inventory levels and business requirements to determine purchase needs. Request cost proposals and negotiate contracts and prices. Prepare and process purchase orders. Maintain records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments. Schedule and verify purchase deliveries. Expedite delayed orders. Build and maintain positive, long-term supplier relations. Resolve issues related to shipments, inventory returns, replacements, and credit arrangements. Work independently within established procedures associated with the job function. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED required. Degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred. Previous experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position. Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and inventory management software programs. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong organization and documentation skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with large bills of materials (BOMs), specifically those with 1000+ items. Work Environment The work environment involves working with large bills of materials (BOMs) containing over 1000 items. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage extensive procurement processes efficiently.
