Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has a dynamic full-time employment opportunity for a Patent Agent to work with our national IP Practice out of our Minneapolis, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, or Florham Park, NJ office. The team has a dynamic and continually growing practice focused on a broad range of intellectual property matters. Job Requirements: This position will support the IP Practice working on the strategic development, procurement, and counseling of patent portfolios. Applicants should have focused experience in the following areas: Drafting patent applications Prosecuting patent applications Candidates should be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark office. Candidates with a degree or an advanced degree in mechanical engineering are preferred, although candidates with degrees in electrical engineering or other relevant experience will also be considered. Strong experience drafting complex mechanical patent applications is a plus. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, be comfortable working directly with clients, and possess strong writing and analytical skills.
